Clients who feel they have lost faith in a higher and all-powerful being and want to regain this faith are advised to enter a Christian recovery program, which is the central treatment program offered by most Christian rehabilitation centers around the country.
Different Christian rehab centers may offer varying models of the said recovery program but in most cases, the basic principles and routines are the same. At the heart of every Christian recovery program is emphasis on the importance of building a strong personal relationship with God, who is considered integral for successful recovery from addiction. Overall, the aim of a Christian recovery program is to instill a deep faith in a recovering individual that God can help him regain back his life.
As mentioned above, practices involved in a Christian recovery program vary at point or the other from center to center. There are, however, certain practices and routines that are considered standard. If you choose this program in any Christian rehab center, you are likely to start each of your days with daily devotions. You would also be following the 12 Steps of Spiritual recovery as stated in the Life Recovery Bible and Celebrate Recovery's Participant Guide workbook. The Celebrate Recovery program is an off-site series of meetings that is often provided by most Christian rehab centers in conjunction with their Christian recovery program. For alcoholics, most centers also offer off-site AA 12 steps meetings. The latter two, however, are sometimes optional offerings so it would be wise to ask about these before entering any Christian Rehab Center.
Similar to how a day starts under the Christian recovery program, you can expect the day to end with spiritual reflections. Most centers also offer their clients with a provision to attend Sunday local church services.
ChristianDrugandAlcoholTreatment.com strongly recommends the Christian recovery program offered in most Christian rehab centers to clients who seek a treatment focused on God and his wisdom. Through principles and routines based on those two, clients can seek to make themselves whole once again. This program is also for clients who have lost self-respect since Christian recovery programs are also tailored to renew trust in one’s self and ultimately, in God as an all-powerful being.
The Christian recovery program, however, should not be confused with the Traditional 12-step program which also offered by most Christian Rehab Centers. While the two both use Alcoholics Anonymous’ 12-Step program as their basis, the Christian recovery program is Christ-centered while the traditional one focuses on how God is understood by the individual under treatment.
Furthermore, while the Traditional program is solely based on the original 12 Steps developed by Alcoholics Anonymous, the Christian recovery program takes these 12 steps a step farther. In the latter, these 12 Steps are interlaced with Biblical text to give them a deeper spiritual anchor. For instance, where Step 2 states “Came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity,” the Christian recovery program adds related scripture which states “For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.” This text was taken from the book of the Philippians, 2:13.

I have to say that CDAT knows what they are doing when it comes to assessing an addiction problem and finding the right counseling. We looked and spoke to over 10 centers all telling us what we wanted to hear. What was funny is they all had different diagnosis. Our son is doing very well with two yrs. clean.
Thanks CDAT team. We just did not know what the best solution was for our family and you made it possible to select the right program for my husband. I highly recommend them to help find the right rehab counseling options for anyone needing help.
