Christian alcohol rehab
ChristianDrugandAlcoholTreatment.com believes that the Bible is a natural source of power with which a person can successfully accomplish his or her recovery from alcohol addiction. Following this principle, we advise clients who want holistic treatment of their addiction disease to enroll in a Christian alcohol rehab. This program is a standard offering in most of the Christian rehab and recovery centers that we work with in our free referral service.
Christian alcohol rehab is based largely on love and compassion. It is holistic in that it approaches and treats addiction both as a physical and spiritual disease. The approaches to treatment used in this type of program are based the 12 Steps developed by the Alcoholic Anonymous which is an organization founded on the principles of the Bible. To the organization’s credit, majority of its founding members recovered from their alcoholic addiction solely by subjecting themselves to the will of God.
In addition to AA’s 12 Steps, Christian alcohol rehab also takes inspiration from Biblical text and the principles taught by the Scripture as basis for their programs. This is where Christian alcohol rehab differs from the Traditional 12 step program, another program which is also offered in most Christian rehab centers. Moreover, Christian alcohol rehab is Christ centered while the Traditional program remains true to the principles of AA’s 12 step. In the latter program, recovery is based on how God is understood by the individual. Despite this difference, however, both programs aim to affirm faith and a strong relationship with God as the bases for a sober, clean, and alcohol free life.
ChristianDrugandAlcoholRecovery.com advises clients to choose an alcohol rehab programs that incorporates text from The Life Recovery Bible with the 12 Steps of the Alcoholic Anonymous. These twelve steps are found to have related Biblical text and combining the two lends a stronger spiritual foundation. For instance, Step 1 states that “We admitted we were powerless over the effects of our separation from God –that our lives had become unmanageable. In the Life Recovery Bible, a related text states: “I know nothing good lives in me, that is, my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.” From Rom. 7:17.
We also advise clients to find a Christian rehab centers manned by Christian themselves and the better if they are recovering alcoholics themselves. Some Christian rehab centers also incorporate the Celebratory Recovery curriculum in their programs. This Celebratory Recovery developed by Rick Warren, pastor of the Saddleback Church and author of the Purpose Driven Life. The Saddleback Church now has 3600 chapters in the country. We advise clients to choose a center that offers free transportation to Celebrate Recovery meetings in and that which provides help for seeking an AA sponsor.

I have to say that CDAT knows what they are doing when it comes to assessing an addiction problem and finding the right counseling. We looked and spoke to over 10 centers all telling us what we wanted to hear. What was funny is they all had different diagnosis. Our son is doing very well with two yrs. clean.
Thanks CDAT team. We just did not know what the best solution was for our family and you made it possible to select the right program for my husband. I highly recommend them to help find the right rehab counseling options for anyone needing help.
